+1 is a way for you and your friends to help each other find great things when they search. When you click +1 you are telling your friends, your family and the rest of the world “this is something you should check out!” You think your site is cool? Add the +1 button to make it easy for your visitors to +1 your pages.

Copy and paste the following code into your website:

<!-- Place this render call where appropriate -->
<script type="text/javascript">
(function() {
var po = document.createElement('script'); po.type = 'text/javascript'; po.async = true;
po.src = 'https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js';
var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(po, s);
})();
</script>

<!-- Place this tag where you want the +1 button to render -->
<g:plusone></g:plusone>

Above is Google’s recommended way of adding the +1 button, but if you care for creating valid web pages, you should replace
<g:plusone></g:plusone>
with
<div class="g-plusone"></div>

Links may point to your site using both the www and non-www versions of the URL (for example, http://www.website.com and http://website.com). To Google, http://website.com and http://www.website.com are two different sites and will be plus-one’d separately. You can avoid wasting votes by specifying a canonical link:

<!-- Place the link element in the head section -->
<link rel="canonical" href="http://www.website.com/" />

From an SEO point of view, the www version is not better than the non-www version. Just choose one and stick with it!

Located in Lugano-Massagno, Studio Dentistico Staub Rondi is a family practice that boasts a long tradition in dentistry. They needed a simply designed website to make themselves better known and get prospects to find them on the web. I was tasked with building their online presence and creating the dental clinic’s new logo.

The client called for a blue monogram logo that combines the initials S and R, but I couldn’t resist trying to use a tooth. Not that dentist logos absolutely need to show teeth, but because finding a way to make a overused generic symbol unique and engaging is creatively gratifying and would give the client a unique and memorable identity.

The passion for dental medicine which has been handed down through three generations is at the heart of this logo. To signify that passion, three tooth outlines have been used. These lines are not in perfect step with one and other. These elements show different degrees of rotation and opacity, overlap and act in unison as they unite into a single shape and create the illusion of a tooth with four roots.

Most people (including me) dread dental visits. I hope this patient-friendly and calming-colored logo will help them to relieve some anxiety.

While my 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Mini is giving me headaches on the road, this Mini Cooper shaped USB flash drive is working great on my desk.

This flash drive by ZERO BASIC is a highly accurate 1:48 scale model and certainly won’t fail to meet expectations of any Mini Cooper fans.

The full Monte Carlo rally bodywork includes two spares wheels on the roof, the legendary rally number 177 on the doors, and the famous registration number LBL 6D. Other small detail features include transparent windows and rotatable wheels. What’s more? When it is plugged into the USB port, the headlights go on!

The flash drive (available in the memory sizes of 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB) is concealed inside the trunk – on the base there is a handle which will open the trunk and automatically slide out the USB plug.
