Welcome. My name is Omiga Pun and I am the founder of DesignOMG. I’m a Lugano-based designer doing primarily web design, but enjoying graphic design and copy writing as well.
I work on a iMac 20-inch using Adobe Fireworks for the design, Adobe Dreamweaver for hand coding and site management. All my designs are built with valid CSS and XHTML to meet Web standards and ensure cross browser compatibility. To make dynamic and interactive Web pages I like PHP and JavaScript better than Flash. For blogging… I’m yet another WordPress fan.
When I’m not designing (or thinking about design), I love travelling, spending time with friends, playing magic tricks with coins and cards, building scale model of mini cooper.
My approach to design
I always design until I find a solution that can satisfy the client, please users and gratify me as a designer.
Creativity is challenging conventions.
Creativity is overturning precepts.
Creativity is breaking rules.
All except one.
That’s simplicity.
Simplicity is not a design style.
Simplicity serves as the foundation for good design.
I love to play with graphic elements in new but simple ways, with the aim to create usable clean and beautiful designs.

Background
Born in Hong Kong, I immigrated to Italy with my father, mother and sister when I was nine. Six years thereafter, my family moved to Lugano, Switzerland. In 1995, the most handsome dog in the world joined the Pun’s family, he’s a Siberian husky and his name is Toby.
I attended IULM University in Milan. I headed to the campus every day with my mini cooper. There, I majored in Public Relations and Advertising with a focus on Branding, but by the time I tried creating my first online portfolio, I had already decided to become a web designer.
In 2007 I moved to Lausanne and began practicing web design.
